RCSD Inventory: September 22nd

An outside agency will be doing an inventory of all district-owned furniture, equipment, and technology items, including:


  • Staff computers (desktops, laptops, Chromebooks).

  • Televisions

  • iPads

  • Apple TVs

  • Computer labs

  • Elementary Chromebooks - please leave carts/charging stations unlocked


Access is RCI’s top requirement. For a successful inventory, they must be able to enter every room in every building.

Amira Parent Letter: This is being sent out to all K - 2nd parents September 22nd. 

Serena out: At the DO for AP PLC on Tuesday 9/23 till 11:00.

Anything But A Backpack Day: Wednesday, September 23rd. 

ELAC Meeting: Our first ELAC meeting of the year will be held on Zoom at 6pm on Wednesday, September 22nd. Please be sure to invite your EL families.

Green Team Announcement: 
Are you interested in protecting our environment?  Do you want to help keep our school clean?  Then the Green Team is for you!  Grades 2/3 please come to room 17 Mrs. Sage or grades 4/5 please come to Mrs. Isaac's classroom for an application. Or ask your teacher for one.  Applications are due Thursday, September 25th.  (Teachers please include in your Weekly communication letter)

ParentSquare Conference Sign-Ups
As parent teacher conferences approach, don’t forget we use ParentSquare sign-ups to easily have parents/guardians sign up for time slots. This walkthrough will guide you through the steps to send out a post with an appointment sign-up. Google sheets with names and information can violate student and parent privacy and outside sign-ups like SignUpGenius do not have signed agreements with RCSD to share data.

PBIS Board meeting recognition: We are being recognized at the Thursday, October 23rd Board meeting for our Platinum status. If you are able to join us we would love as many of you there to be recognized by the Board for your outstanding effort.

BDR's: Thank you to everyone for filling out the necessary BDR's when our students are not following our Ranch Way expectations. Please continue to do so as it helps get the students the necessary support if needed.

Independent Study: Please remember to attach work samples: You need one for each subject matter in which credit was given. All work samples need to be uploaded into Informed K12 with the corresponding student contract. Teachers should try to finalize the contract within 10 days of the student returning to school.

K-1 Foundational Skills Assessments: Beginning-of-Year Foundational Skills data for Kindergarten and 1st Grade is due in ESGI by September 19th. This includes only reading assessments.
Teachers are asked to send home the ESGI Parent Letter Report with their Progress Reports. More information on the “Assessment Calendar” tab on the Foundational Skills Hub.

Tier 1 strategies: PRIM Digital manual The Pre-referral Intervention Manual is a great resource to use for Tier 1 resources. It's full of strategies directly related to specific behaviors It provides strategies and interventions to use when students are experiencing behavioral, social, or academic difficulties. 

Second Step: Please make sure you are completing your Second Step curriculum and marking each lesson that you have completed.
