Sparkler Update: We are wanting to inform all that votes came in and we will keep everything the same as last year: 
  • Snacks at 1st staff meeting of each month, beginning in November, Happy Hours, Holiday Party, and End of Year Party, Sparkler joy here and there!

  • ask for Sparkler dues, $20 by Thursday, October 30th

Amira Reading Difficulties Risk Screener
The Amira Reading Screener Window is from October 13th-October 24th. As a reminder, all K-2 students will take the screener in English. Please use the decision tree to determine if the student will also take the screener in Spanish. If the student is also taking the assessment in Spanish, please follow these steps on how to Adjust Student Language in Amira.

Chick-fil-A Dine Out event: Tuesday, October 21st from 5 - 7pm. See Sign -up sheet to help at the event.

Richard Out: Wednesday, October 22nd at Leadership

School Site Council meeting: Wednesday, October 22nd at 3:30pm

Red Ribbon Assembly: Thursday, October 23rd at 10:15 in MPR for 4th/5th graders (due to mature content) - TK/K & 1 grades will eat lunch in classrooms.

Staff Meeting: Thursday, October 23rd at 2:20pm in Staff lounge

PIE Grant Applications: 2025-2026 PIE Grant Application
Applications are due by 4:00 p.m.Friday, October 24th

PBIS Board meeting recognition: Thursday, October 23rd at Board meeting 

Perseverance Rally: Friday, October 24th at 8am

Superintendent Garcia Visit: Mr. Garcia will be visiting Orchard on Friday, October 24th from 9:30 - 11:00. We  will be walking through some classrooms and I know he loves to play tetherball too. 

ParentSquare Conference Sign-Ups
As parent teacher conferences approach, don’t forget we use ParentSquare sign-ups to easily have parents/guardians sign up for time slots. This walkthrough will guide you through the steps to send out a post with an appointment sign-up. Google sheets with names and information can violate student and parent privacy and outside sign-ups like SignUpGenius do not have signed agreements with RCSD to share data.
