PLC Wednesday: Report Cards

Library: 
May 22nd-June 5th- Curriculum check- in and Materials Checklist will need to be done. Material checklist will be in your boxes by May 19th. If you are leaving the site or moving grades, Sierra will reach out to you individually to set a check in/check-out date.

May 26th- All library books need to be returned. Overdue books will be assessed and a student fine will be put in your boxes by May 31st. 

Next Staff Meeting: May 30th CANCELLED


Structure, consistency, expectations and compassion are needed extra this time of year.
Stick to you schedule as much as possible to alleviate behavior challenges.

***Last Day of PE/Music: June 2nd. The remaining days are being used for inventory at each site.

******Reminder: This is the time of year where weekly expectation revisits are beneficial. We want all kids to end the year strong and successful. They can do that with regular and deliberate conversations. 

Report Card Timeline Information
  • Grades submitted no later than 8AM June 2nd. Michelle will run a preview.
  • A final report card will be run on June 5th and printed
  • Report Cards will be emailed home on June 6th
  • Report Cards must be filed in cumulative folders by check out day.

Sparkler Updates:

  • Baby Shower Games: Congrats to Belinda guessing the closest to Jen’s belly! Thank you all for participating and celebrating the Jen and Dylan this past two weeks. 
    • End of the 

    Year Party (6/2): Our end of the year party will be on June 2nd at 3pm. Thank you Richard for hosting!! Sparkler will be providing pizza. Feel free to bring your own drinks, appetizer/treat, and swimsuit!

    PTC Updates:

    Yearbooks: Duane put in a lot of time creating the yearbook and making it special for OuR students. Yearbooks were distributed this week. Please pass out yearbooks on June 1st. Not any earlier!! There is a slip in the box with FAQs and a student list of who bought yearbooks. If you signed up to receive a yearbook, it will be in your cubby by the end of the week. If you have any questions, reach out to Duane at orchardranchptc@gmail.com. 

    Free Yoga Trial: West Park Yoga & Movement is happy to provide a free 7-day class pass to all Orchard Ranch staff. Passes will be in your box by the end of the week. This pass is good for 7 consecutive days. Should an OR staff member decide to purchase a membership after the free 7-day pass they can use the code ORStaff and receive a 10% discount. No purchase is necessary or required. West Park Yoga & Movement is located in the same plaza as MoJoes and Kitchen747. Their class schedule can be found here: https://www.westparkyoga.com/classes.

    VESTS while on duty, BADGES at all times, & Doors ALWAYS Locked! Happy Birthday - Amy 10/29, Heather, Lisa and Michelle 10/30 Early Pick-up procedure: TK and Kindergarten: When a student in TK or Kinder is leaving early, an adult will come directly to the classroom to pick up the student and escort them back to the office. 1st through 5th Grade: For students in 1st–5th grade, the office will call the classroom, and the student who is leaving should be accompanied by a responsible fellow student to the office for check-out.     Happy Birthday - Marie 4/9 VESTS while on duty, BADGES at all times & Doors ALWAYS Locked!   If you leave your classroom with your students, please remember to take your charged Walkie Talkie with you and have it turned on. Umbrellas: Big thanks to PTC for our new umbrella! Please ensure that they are closed at the end of the day. I have spoken with Right At School and Adventure Club too. Park Use:  If you are planning to take your class to the park, please communicate with your families in advance to share the plan and provide them with the opportunity to opt out.
