INFORMATION & ANNOUNCEMENTS:


PLC Wednesday: Meet in classrooms, continue working on articulation. Articulation notes are below.

Library: 

May 22nd-June 5th- Curriculum check- in and Materials Checklist will need to be done. Material checklist will be in your boxes by May 19th. If you are leaving the site or moving grades, Sierra will reach out to you individually to set a check in/check-out date.

May 26th- All library books need to be returned. Overdue books will be assessed and a student fine will be put in your boxes by May 31st. 

Next Staff Meeting: May 16th Cancelled

Check out: CLICK HERE  for end of year check out sheet. Richard and I will be coming around to classes starting around 9.

Science: The district will be collecting science material bins. IF you would like to keep a DE bin, you can.  However, we are required to keep at least one per grade level. Extras will be picked up unless otherwise specified.

BTSN/Tailgate Results: 
Date: August 8th, 5-7pm


 


**CAASPP: Testing has begun. Please have your kids be aware of classes that are testing. RSP will be completing the students with alternative settings in one week.  The RSP room will be closed to accommodate these students all next week. We will return to our regular new schedule on May 8. IF you have a student with an alternative setting Mrs. Q. will email who is coming and when to send them. 

*Student Accounts Disabled Nightly: Beginning May 12th, student accounts will be unavailable from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am daily. This is a new initiative we're implementing to encourage students to unplug and rest. Please share this with your parents. Additional details are in the Educator BLOG.


*Last Day of PE/Music: June 2nd. The remaining days are being used for inventory at each site.


****Reminder: This is the time of year where weekly expectation revisits are beneficial. We want all kids to end the year strong and successful. They can do that with regular and deliberate conversations. 

***Articulation: 
Directions have been sent out. Final articulation is a little different this year. Your grade level will be meeting individually on the following dates.
  • 4th makes 5th: May 17th @ 1:10 - 1:40
Report Card Timeline Information
  • Grades submitted no later than 8AM June 2nd. Michelle will run a preview.
  • A final report card will be run on June 5th and printed
  • Report Cards will be emailed home on June 6th
  • Report Cards must be filed in cumulative folders by check out day.

If you have any extra white or colored card stock, I would love to use it as I prep for next year's math fluency games. Thank you.


Sparkler Updates:
    • Jen Gutierrez Baby Sprinkle(5/15-5/19): We will be celebrating Jen and baby girl Gutierrez the week of May 15th-19th. Stop by for some treats and to play games. HERE is her registry! 
    • Upcoming School Related National Holidays: Feel free to do something extra, create something as a class or grade level.
      • May 18th: Speech-Language Pathologist Day
    • Dylan Rumbaugh Baby Shower(5/22-5/26): The following week we will be celebrating Dylan and baby boy Rumbaugh. Stop by May 22nd-26th for more treats and games. HERE is his registry!
    • End of the Year Party (6/2): Save the Date! Our end of the year party will be on June 2nd at 3pm. Thank you Richard for hosting!! Sparkler will be providing pizza. Feel free to bring your own drinks, appetizer/treat, and swimsuit if you want to swim! 3137 Ardley Drive, Roseville 95747 (No excuses, it's even closer than Crystal's house!)
PTC Updates:

    The next PTC meeting is on May 23rd @6:30. Click here to sign up! 

    • Skate Night(5/15): Our last Skate Night is May 15th. PTC will cover the cost for any teacher who wants to attend. Please add your name to the date you will be attending so they know you're coming! The last one is on May 15th.

  Orchard Ranch Blog 4.8.24 PLC Wednesday:   Progress report prep April 10th at 1:10pm. Library:   Track A  Staff Meeting: 4.11.24 at 2:25pm Lockdown Drill: Drill happening 4.11.24 at 9:40am Solar Eclipse: There is a solar eclipse happening on April 8th. An announcement will be made to head outside with the glasses around 10:45am Everyone come out for viewing View through glasses and then return to class Lunch procedures will be as normal *Please wait to pass out the glasses until the viewing time Software Survey: Please fill out this survey to help us plan for future purchases. Adjunct Duties: We are starting to plan for next year. Please fill out  this form by Wednesday, April 17th. PBIS: Our PBIS walkthrough is happening Monday, April 8th at 8:30am. A classroom walkthrough guide was put in your boxes.   Orchard Ranch Blog 5.28.24 End of Year Sign Out: Check out will start at 9am on May 31st. Please have this form printed out. 2024 - 2025 Schedules: Yard Duty Schedule Adjunct Duty Schedule Room Assignments Yearbooks: Please review these expectations with your students: Yearbooks  may be brought back to school for the last week for class parties and recess, but the student is responsible for them  Make sure to have student's first and last name written in the  yearbook If you still want to purchase a  yearbook , they are available in the office Make sure you are writing appropriate things in other's  yearbooks Yearbook Signing: Yearbook signing will be Thursday, May 30th 8:30am - 9. We know with end of the year festivities, there may be conflicts so if you need to skip, that is fine too . We will gather in the courtyard in front of the outdoor stage.
