INFORMATION & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Staff Meeting: February 7th on Zoom

WPHS Students: They will return in 2023. We are waiting on confirmation of when they will begin.

Bronco: We are looking for people to help spread the cheer of Bucky the Bronco. Please complete this form if you are willing to share the wonderful opportunity of being our mascot. CLICK HERE

Right at School After School Program: OR is piloting, with 3 other schools, the new Extended Learning Opportunity program beginning on 2/6/23. The Program is being run by the company Right at School. It will take place in The Barn every day after school until 6:00pm and during breaks. Obviously this raises come challenges. We are working through those with the district. Thank you for your flexibility. 

100th day:

• 100th Day Actions/ Exercises (10 jumping jacks, sit ups, high fives, push ups, jumps, etc.)
• 100 day themed brain breaks and read alouds
• What was happening 100 years ago in 1923
• Writing Prompts
• I want 100 _____
• If I had $100..
• When I'm 100 years old...
• Do a task in 100 seconds
• Make a hat
• Decorate a paper with 100 things
• Write the numbers 1-100 (maybe in 100 seconds?)
• Write 100 words
• 100th day of school self reflection

Student Leadership: Shout out to the student leadership team. They are doing awesome and it's because of your direction and passion for what they're doing. Thank you! It so amazing!!!!  

*Retention Conversations: Please talk with administration BEFORE you talk to parents about retention.

*Independent Study: Per our auditors, please create full day work plans for math and ELA with regards to students going on independent study. We can no longer just say "Write a journal entry for each day you're on IS". Then we just have to submit one sample from each subject area. Please let us know if you have questions.

Sparkler Updates:

Baby Rincon: Robbie made his appearance on January 15th and nobody guessed it correctly. Little guy came earlier than we all thought. Better luck next time! Congratulations Melissa! 

Next Happy Hour (2/2): Come to Kitchen 747 on February 2nd at 2:26pm. They now offer a Happy Hour menu with discounted food and drinks! RSVP on the google calendar invite. We hope to see you there! :)

Baby Fontana(2/21-2/24): We will be celebrating baby girl Fontana the week of February 21st-24th. Sparkler will be gifting her a gift card on behalf of Orchard Ranch Staff. If you would like to also give her something, here is her registry.

Yearbook Class Page Check(1/31): Please refer to Courtney's email about your class yearbook page check. Look for correct spelling, all students accounted for, etc. Please have this completed by Tuesday, January 31st. Sorry for the quick turnaround time. 

$100 Teacher Reimbursement: PTC has approved a $100 reimbursement for items purchased for your classroom. Teachers can fill out a paper copy and turn it into the PTC box or email a digital copy to Duane at orchardranchptc@gmail.com.

Skate Nights: The next skate night is February 15th. The theme is glow/neon night. This event is open to all families and costs $10 per skater. PTC will cover the cost for any teacher who wants to attend. Please add your name to the date you will be attending so they know you're coming!
