PTC:

  • PIE Grant(10/7): PTC wanted to remind us all about the RCSD Foundation Pie Grants. The RCSD Foundation will award grants up to $750 per individual staff member or $2,000 per grade level for STEAM educational opportunities. Last year, there was money left over. The 2022-23 PIE Grant Application is due October 7th.
  • PTC Meetings: PTC and the community would love to have more teachers at the PTC meetings. If you can attend a meeting, please sign up here. We hope you can join us!
  • Room Parent: Add your Room Parent (can't find one? Type “no leads” next to your name)
  • Favorites: Fill out your Staff Favorites (add Amazon Wishlist if you have one)

TOSA Tips: One thing that I love about teaching is sharing with other teachers to make us even better in our own classrooms. Mindy Corr is the tosa at Blue Oaks. She has gracefully shared one of the best documents that I’ve seen this year. Mindy took the time to create a document that has so many amazing things that each grade level can use for math. I highly recommend that you open it and browse it because it literally has most everything that you need to teach math in a one stop shop. You can look at your grade level math resources and even the grade level below you to see exactly what your students learned last year. This is a living document, so we will be adding to it as we go. Happy browsing!

Grade-level Math Resources

Outside Tables: These tables are considered extensions of our classroom. Therefor, we need to try our best to clean them when needed. Custodial does NOT have the time in their schedule to clean all the tables, unless a large mess happens. Please remember, if you open you umbrella, please close it at the end of the day. Make sure these notes are in your sub plans.

*Suicide Prevention Slides: CLICK HERE Please preview this slide deck prior to out staff meeting. Thank you.

*Intervention Support: If your students are in need of intervention support, kindergarten is offering support time on Fridays from 1:40-2:05. Please reach out to kindergarten. We will be working on a sign up and will be available soon. Thank you kindergarten teachers.

*Voxer: Remember, voxer is used for better communication and support for the staff and students. We try to keep things light hearted and business
. Thank you for your support in keeping voxer a supportive tool for OR.

Inside/Outside Recess: To limit interruptions on the all call speaker, please check you email/voxer before you head out to recess/lunch during extreme weather.
