INFORMATION & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

(“*” Indicates the number of weeks it’s been in newsletter.)

Chromebooks: Please complete this form for inventory.

Independent Study Contracts: Independent Study assignments must be shared on Otus to promote consistency for families across the district, support safe self-quarantining practices, and support continuous learning.  Because some families will be quarantined due to the virus and possible positive cases, we want to minimize the families' need to leave their homes to pick up work. If there is a need on the front end of an independent study to pick-up some materials, please provide as much as possible for the families during pick-up. Many of our families are trying to be proactive and not spread the virus and are very appreciative of the work you provide to their children. Teachers providing independent study work will be compensated according to the teachers’ contract.

With the increase in Independent Study requests and options, AND that we can do the forms electronically, (YAY), I am attaching the Request and the Contract for you.  Now, you can send it directly to the parents via email!
  1. Email both forms to parent for them to complete.
  2. When they email it back to you, you can forward it to me to print, or print and sign it yourself.
  3. Turn in forms to Crystal
  4. When the contract is finished, see Crystal to sign off the number of days that work was completed.  If you are able to provide any work samples, please turn them in to Crystal.

Holiday Show: So this is going to be a recorded zoom meeting that will be sent out to watch with your kids. You are only tasked with one thing at this point. Please get together with your PLC and choose a song to sing from the list to be provided when we come back. Champions teachers, this is you too! We will then set up a zoom meeting and I'll join you with the guitar. We will record it together.
Have as much or as little fun with it as you want. Thank you and I look forward to singing with you.

Relationships: Remember we are still working on relationships. Just because you knew a student online, doesn't mean they are completely trusting of us in person. Please continue to work on those relationships.

*PLC Mondays: We are still adhering to the districts PLC Monday expectations. Please complete the PLC Agenda and let me know if you have any questions.

*Student Work: The easiest way to get students work when they are out is through OTUS. Please use this procedure. We will be going over it more at our staff meeting.

*Orange Vests: Please wear orange vests while on duty. Thank you.

*Please always double-check with the OR Google Calendar as event may change.*
