Moving Forward: We are continuing to move forward as though school is happening. With that being said, we will try and keep our meetings to a minimum. We have to continue meeting as PLCs, preparing for CAASPP, etc. Thank you for your patience as we see what these new practices look like. If you have any questions, please let us know.

IEPs: In an effort to uniform our IEP procedures throughout the district, case managers are being instructed in IEP protocol. As they work on internal practices for their students, general ed teachers must stay to the end of the IEP. New practices are to streamline the meetings to make sure they are completed in the scheduled time.

Speaking with kids about COVID-19:  Let students know adults are working to ensure safety. Especially among younger students, controllability of the situation is increased when they understand that adults are working hard to shield them from danger. For older students, to the extent such information is accurate and available, this may include bringing to their attention advances being made in finding vaccines and effective treatments.

Especially among primary grade students, appreciate that understanding of the danger presented by a situation is determined by the behavior of caregiving adults. Ensure that the behavior of these caregivers (especially teachers) is consistent with the objective threat presented by the infectious disease outbreak.

Doors: Classroom doors are to be locked during recess, even if you're in there. We have a lot of students cut through open classrooms or hiding in rooms.

Custodial Night Cleaning: Below is the AB schedule for cleaning. The days flipflop weekly. I will work to include the schedule in each BLOG. To help with cleaning, please make sure chairs are stacked and large debris is picked up. This will ensure a cleanlier classroom.

This week starts with B Schedule.
