Amira: Please assign the Amira assessment to any new student by following these steps: How to Assign an Assessment. Please assign the full assessment for the BOY Benchmark for the Assessment Type.
Any new student has 45 days from enrollment to take the Amira screener. You can administer the assessment at any point within that 45-day window. Please send home parent notification (Site Sample Amira Letter) at least 15 days before you plan to administer the assessment. Please use the Decision Tree for Assessing Multilingual Learners to determine if the student should take the assessment in English only, or in both English and Spanish.

Fire Inspection: It's that time of year where the Fire Marshal will reach out and schedule the inspection. They have not done so yet but it is traditionally over Winter break. Please be aware that it could happen. I will update you all as soon as I hear anything. Fire Hand out & Classroom Standards
